 Stableford Classic

Entry Fee

$90.00 per person/$180.00 total. Entry fee includes continental breakfast, lunch and prizes. Entry fee should be paid online with Vias, Mastercard or Discover credit card.

Format

18 holes of stroke play, combining the Stableford points of BOTH players on each hole. Flights will be determined by the combined Handicap Index of both players. Each individual player will play to 85% of the host club handicap. Handicaps frozen on August 18th, 2026.

Eligibility

Contestant’s club must be a member of the Chicago Women’s District Golf Association. Amateur players with a current Handicap Index of 33.0 or lower are eligible.
Index Limit: min: -8   max: 33   

Field

The field is limited to the first 48 two-women teams.

Notification

Official notification will be emailed to the players after August 19th or when the field is full.

Starting Times

8:30 a.m. Shotgun

Prizes

Prizes will be awarded to highest and second highest team score within each flight.

Trophy

The highest-net pair will have their names engraved on the Stableford Classic trophy which will be displayed at the Golf House

Ties

All ties will be decided by a scorecard playoff.

Caddies

If host club caddies are available, a contestant must either use a caddie or take a cart with a caddie. A reserved caddie must be used. Contestants may not provide their own caddies.

Attire

Players must always be properly attired. Jeans, T-shirts, tank tops and golf shorts and skirts shorter than mid-thigh in length are prohibited. Collared shirts are strongly suggested. Adherence to the host club restrictions will apply. Players are advised to check with the host club for clarification of its policies.

Etiquette

Players are always expected to conduct themselves with courtesy and sportsmanship. The Committee has the power to revoke playing privileges for violations.

Refunds

NO REDFUNDS OF ANY PORTION OF THE TOURNAMENT FEE AFTER THE August 18th, 2026. Withdrawals submitted prior to the refund deadline will receive a full refund minus a $10.00 per player handling fee.

Distance Measuring Devices

Distance measuring devices including cell phones and smart watches that conform to the USGA specifications are allowed. These devices cannot emit any sound during the round. Range finders that beep must not disturb any other player.

Communication Devices

Players may use cell phones and other internet communication devices as well as smart watches only as a Rule of Golf source, a distance measuring device, and to access the CWDGA Tournament Rules and Instruction Governing Tournament Play as long as there is no function which measures wind speed or gradient. In addition, players may use a cell phone to request a ruling. A telephone number will be included on the Notice to Competitors. Players are prohibited from using cell phones for any other phone call or text.
