2022 COMPETITIONS

90th ANNUAL CHAMPIONSHIP

We welcome our 2022 Champion, Lauren Meyer of Ivanhoe, who successfully defended her 2019 and 2021 Championship titles.
Congratulations also to all the flight winners.

Despite a rainout on day one of the tournament, beautiful weather returned on Tuesday and Wednesday.

We extend a special thank you to Butterfield CC for hosting us. The course is in pristine condition and provided a perfect test for all the competitors.

ONE-DAY STROKE PLAY

Due to inclement weather, the One-Day Stroke Play tournament originally scheduled for July 7th was canceled. While Bull Valley GC had graciously provided us with a rescheduled date of September 29th, it was too late in the season to attract a reasonable number of players. As a result, we again had to make the difficult decision to cancel the event in 2022.

SENIOR BETTER-BALL OF PAIRS

Always a favorite event on the CWDGA calendar, 82 players competed in the Senior Better-Ball of Pairs Tournament at McHenry Country Club on beautiful sunny day.

Our Overall Low Net Winners are:
Sue Ellett of Kishwaukee and Dana Meadows of St. Charles.
Congratulations also to all the winners from Flights 1 through 6.

We thank McHenry Country Club, especially their member volunteers whose help made the event a great success.

TOURNAMENT OF TEAM CHAMPIONS

The CWDGA Four-Ball season concluded with the Tournament of Team Champions on a sunny Fall day at Itasca Country Club.

Division winners across the five CWDGA sections were invited to compete for the lowest net better-ball score.

With an impressive net score of 62, our Overall Winners are:
Amanda Browning and Diane Neumann of Ivanhoe (Division 1).

Congratulations also to the Winners in Divisions 2, 3, and 4.
